Common examples of self-misrepresentation include using outdated photos, lying about profession or income, and falsifying religious beliefs or personal values.
As ClarityCheck's managing director Ihor Herasymov put it, online dating "encourages curation" — and sometimes that curation crosses into omission or distortion, blurring the line between privacy, performance, and truth.
Financial Exploitation & Romance Scams
